Bangus Valley
Overview
Bangus Valley — split into Bod (big) and Lokut (small) Bangus — is a vast, largely undeveloped meadow system near the Line of Control, opened to regulated tourism only in recent years. It remains one of the least-visited landscapes in Kashmir: rolling grasslands, Gujjar herder settlements, and a silence that’s increasingly rare elsewhere in the region.
